Hand-harvested at night to ensure cool temperatures, we cold soak the berries to draw color and develop flavors while elevating structure. Fermented in open-top stainless steel tanks, then aged in French oak barrels, 50% new, for 16 months, the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered. Showing dark, almost opaque edges with gorgeous notes of blackberry fruit, sage, black olive and shaved cocoa. The mouthfeel has a decadent richness and textural quality with a long and delicious finish. Both dense and flecked with acidity, the wine shows equal parts power and grace.
